Welcome to the website of Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery
Created many years ago, Tan-y-Mynydd is a trout fishing haven, set in beautiful and tranquil Welsh countryside.
The pools, which abound with aquatic life, will test the best angler and yet give good fun and sport to the novice be they young or old.
The fly fishing pools are fully stocked with a variety of trout (rainbow, brown, blue and tiger) with our record rainbow tipping the scales at 21lb and the biggest brown weighing just over 9lb. Our 'family' pools where multi method fishing (bait and fly) is allowed are very popular and provide good sport for all ages.

Wild Fishing Wales Round 5
2012 has been an extremely busy year at the fishery following our successful application for a substantial grant from the Environment Agency Wild Fishing Project.
Wild Fishing Wales is an initiative supported by the EU and the Welsh Assembly Government.
The grant has allowed us to carry out Access and Habitat Improvements at the fishery, including new/improved accessible footpaths, removal of self-sown willows, construction of new fishing platforms and also construction of new disabled friendly fishing platforms. A new disabled friendly toilet facility is now under construction.
We are very proud of the works that have been carried out and invite you to come along and see the improvements.
